Daffodils
I am severely allergic to those pretty yellow Easter Lilies that signal the beginning of spring around my home. I absolutely love to look at them and they make my heart light after the long, cold days of winter. But, bring them in the house and I will have breathing issues and allergy headaches to Continue reading

Yay 2024! Here we come!!!
Whew, we finally made it to the new year! I for one am pretty excited for all that this year will be bringing to my family. We have already went through the hardest change by having to move but we are so happy on our farm. And, I have to say, RV living isn’t that Continue reading

End of the year that never ends…
It seems like every year there is new challenges that we have never faced before. The media would like to call it unprecedented, but I just like to call it crap. If we have to live through another year of firsts, I might scream. so looking forward to the end of this year is an Continue reading

Daily Struggles Make Great Testimonies
I have been struggling for the past few years with my weight. I know that I have gained this weight battling my mental health and bringing my 2 beautiful daughters into this world. But, my weight is a daily struggle. I wish it was super easy to just stop eating the bad stuff and only Continue reading

Too much stuff
In years past I have been known to have yard sales in order to get rid of unwanted or unneeded stuff in my house. Lo and behold I am at a time in my life like that again. The problem is, I hate having yard sales. They suck. I mean, I love getting to interact Continue reading

300 Square Foot
I’m not sure I have a clue what I am doing. Like, really wonder about my sanity some days. So, true to form, I am attempting to downsize my household from 1800 square feet to 300 square feet. Why do you ask? Let me tell you. We have farmland that has been rented for several Continue reading

Lean not on our own understanding.
I have always heard this verse and told myself I completely understood what King Solomon was trying to tell us. I have tried to apply this truth to my life many times over and I know that the Lord has seen my whole hearted efforts. However, recently this verse has taken on so many different Continue reading

Time keeps on slipping, into the future…..
Whew, this has been a heck of a couple of weeks! We have been busy, busy, busy getting the new babies settled in while getting a few of the farm ventures started. We celebrated our annual Homecoming for my small but proud hometown over Memorial Day weekend. The farm took the time out from other Continue reading

March 23, 2022
I don’t know about the rest of the world, but this farm girl is super excited for spring! Never fails, though, that there will be a day where the weather turns cold, rainy, and sloggy (yes, I created this word, Mr. Webster). This is the opposite of the weather I need to make my farming Continue reading

Farm Life
This has been a heck of a year with more changes that I care to admit. For one, part of the farm family is going to be traveling and working for various government agencies in line with her degree (my mother and father). We will be taking over and managing the farm and house life Continue reading
About Me
My name is Alle and I am a small town country girl who lives in an equally small town in the south. I am married to a former marine who puts up with my loony antics, we have 2 beautiful daughters we would do anything for, and we live on a modest homestead specializing in as organic as possible animals and produce.
I started a blog in hopes of reaching people with the thoughts rolling around in my head and the words that the Lord shares with my heart. Some days it may be crazy animals, and others may be a heartfelt confession. Either way, I hope my words are able to bring a smile or touch a heart that needs whatever I can offer.
